"Owl" always love these Cards-In-A-Box!

These are too cute!!!  And although I love everything Lori Whitlock, her owls have got to be my all-time favorite critters!

I found some awesome new My Minds Eye paper pads from Michael's clearance (ninety cents each!!) while at my Cape Cod Crafting girls getaway last week, and I couldn't wait to put them to use.  So I downloaded the Silhouette Online Store design files (also on sale, woohoo! - or should I say "whoo-whoo" lol!) and got busy.  I changed up the design a bit by swapping out the basic leaves in the file for a couple quick sizzix leaves diecuts, and I stamped the sentiment instead of cutting it, but everything else was included.  Oops, the butterfly was a punch I added too.  But no measuring or math needed, and the bestest part about these cards is that they fit standard A2 envies.  NICE.

I've collected all the different designs she made for this style card.  Loving them!!

Easily Amused

Remember the Ghost Cube video from the other day?   The only thing I love more than watching that kind of stuff is figuring out how that kind of stuff works - and I think I did!  I started with a more basic version to test my theory, designed the cubes in Silhouette Studio and got busy assembling.  It's tough to keep those cubes square and even but overall it worked out pretty good.  And guess who stole it as soon as she saw it....

Yup, I guess she's inherited the love of figuring out how things work too!

Friendship Card

A couple days ago I ran into someone from the school my daughter went to last year and she gave me the warmest hello hug and greeting.  It just puts a smile on my face every time I think of it.  I miss that school and the "family" of teachers and staff.  We didn't have time to catch up so I thought I'd send her a quick little note.  I grabbed one of my test images that I had played with when I was trying out my new Distress Markers.  I haven't done much with them in the last month and I think I need to play and test them some more because I really love the look.

I used pieces I already had leftover from other projects and then just added a little stitching to give it a little extra something for someone a little extra special.
